How can I find out which phone company supplies the line to my new flat?
I have just bought a flat, there is a telephone line and phone with dialling tone. BT says its not their line and want £125 to connect me. Any way I can find out which other phone line provider has the line and will only charge a re-connection fee
It depends on where you live - I guess that BT say it's not theirs either because it was moved from BT to another supplier OR they mean it's a Cable supplier.
Call 150 or 151 from the phone line and you'll get their customer services - assuming it's not a dead line.
